Lead (Pb)
Lead was used in US residential paint until it was banned in 1978. In any property built before then, lead paint is often still present underneath newer coats. It becomes hazardous when it deteriorates, is sanded, or is disturbed during renovation, creating dust that settles on floors and window sills.
- Lead paint inspections
- Dust wipe testing, the clearance test after abatement
- Testing of items, food, and soil
